We are looking to recruit an experienced Ecological Fieldwork and Health and Safety Manager to join the team in our Edinburgh office. Your duties will include:

1. Orchestrate the logistics of ecological fieldwork for the Scottish business, ensuring sufficient and suitably equipped, qualified and experienced field surveyors are organized to fully deliver all fieldwork needs.

2. To provide or organise survey training as required.

3. Coordinate the provision, testing, and staff training in all health and safety equipment and systems. This will include carrying out spot checks/audits of field staff and sub-contractors on site to ensure all health and safety requirements are being adhered to, and that staff have the health and safety support they require.

During the quieter winter months there may be scope to take on ecological project work.

To deliver the role successfully, the person must have extensive field survey expertise, an excellent track record of adherence to health and safety and survey protocols, and have successfully completed fieldwork in a wide variety of working environments, ideally including active construction and forestry sites. An understanding of ecological survey work would be advantageous.

In return we offer a competitive salary and benefits package together with the opportunity to develop your career with one of the UK’s leading Consultancies.

RPS is an equal opportunities employer
