Drilling Engineer (Petroleum Engineer) – Oil - Houston

Sequence is seeking a Drilling Engineer (Petroleum Engineer) to oversee oil well drilling activities throughout the United States.

The ideal individual would have at least 7+ years of hands on engineering experience directly related to well site management and operations for petroleum drilling.  Must have experience overseeing well site operations, designing well site plans, identifying offset wells, identifying fracture gradients, reviewing hazard / safety plans and providing full-time engineering support to drill rigs.

Candidates should have the capability to lead all engineering activities related to a specific drilling rig when assigned; operating in a safe, regulatory compliant, cost effective drilling situation.

Requires a Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or related discipline. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is desired. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Candidates must have the desire to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time if necessary.
