District Heating & CHP Performance Specialist

Ref: EONUK02076

You'll be monitoring and optimising the day-to-day operational performance of the fleet of District Heating and Energy Generation schemes throughout the UK. In doing so, you'll be responsible for monitoring plant performance to identify key performance parameters (such as availability, reliability, plant performance etc). Another important function that you'll perform will be to identify areas where the future performance and efficiency of plants can be improved. You'll also be working closely with Retail and SES Operations and Management Teams to ensure the effective tendering, design and delivery of installations, and to oversee the optimised running of these installations.

Ensuring optimal plant efficiency, you'll be expected to provide detailed performance data, and use this data to produce detailed management reports and analysis on plant gas, CHP, and renewable generating assets.

Much of your activity will centre on the collation and provision of data, especially in relation to environmental requirements, but also data intended to support a range of business processes and KPI related decision-making.

You'll be working with all the relevant internal divisions, and outside organisations to ensure data collection and network availability. In addition to this, you'll negotiate individual contracts on a value/risk basis, and manage suppliers at both local and project levels.

All data collation and reporting should be done in a way that avoids duplication and meets all KPI and company specific reporting requirements.

You'll have a proven ability to identify and analyse situations and problems, and to draw relevant conclusions on the data provided. Strong IT skills will also be of importance to this role - particularly in Excel and Business Objects.

You should have some understanding and technical knowledge of DH and/or CHP markets and relevant commercial experience in the management of ESPs.

As priorities, deadlines and priorities can change quickly in this position, you will need to be self-motivated and flexible.

Your energy shapes the future.

E.ON is committed to Equal Opportunities.

If you'd like to apply for this role, you'll need to have the right to live and work in the UK. You may also need to be available for interview in the UK at short notice, travel costs will be at your own expense.
