Climate Analytics is the product of a deep concern about climate change. Founded in 2008 in Berlin, Germany as a non-profit organization, we bring together high levels of expertise in both the scientific and policy aspects of climate change. Our vision is to devise science-based policy to prevent dangerous climate change, enabling sustainable development.

Our main mission is to synthesize and advance scientific knowledge in the area of climate change and on this basis provide support and capacity building to stakeholders. By linking scientific and policy analysis, we provide state-of-the-art solutions to global and national climate change policy challenges.

An important part of our current work is to provide scientific, policy and analytical support to assist the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) in negotiating a strong international climate regime under the UNFCCC.

One of our main activities is the Climate Action Tracker, which publicizes assessments of the effectiveness of national climate policies in meeting global climate goals.

We provide scientific and policy advice and support to other initiatives and stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector. The multi-national Climate Analytics team, with members based in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, the USA, and Australia, is optimally situated in the global climate science and policy research community.
