Description
Directs donor cultivation and stewardship efforts of the Global Initiatives (GI) division. Provides guidance to each global initiative (climate, freshwater, food, species, health, cultural services, green economy) on fundraising and marketing strategy, donor identification, cultivation and stewardship, and sustainable financing. Provides direct technical support and guidance for global initiative development including: (a) design of fundraising and sustainable finance strategy (b) inception efforts (design, funding and amplification of flagship projects) (c) funding, partnerships, sustainable finance for comprehensive CI implementation. Principal liaison with CI internal teams (regional program development officers, public funding, foundation, major gifts, CELB, M&C) for fundraising, marketing and long-term GI finance. Principal liaison with public, private and corporate donors to the Global Initiatives division for stewardship, reporting, and portfolio diversification. Contributes to design and implementation of sustainable financing for global initiative projects and programs in liaison with Ecosystem Finance Division and Science & Knowledge for research-based project.
