My client is a leading solar photovoltaic(PV) manufacturer and over a number of years built up a strong track record in the manufacturing of both mono and poly crystalline silicon and thin-film solar photovoltaic(PV) modules. They are currently looking to recruit a senior individual to oversee program management within their organisation. They seek a motivated, customer-focused, innovative team player to help manage activities for advancing large scale programs in our R&D Engineering group. They are looking for this individual to provide operational guidance to a development program team and drives the assigned programs to completion.
Responsibilities:-
- Managing programs from inception to implementation, including assisting with building the business case, writing product proposals and ensuring continued business justification throughout the life of the project/program
- Serve as the go to person for cross functional teams and manage the deliverables in a matrix organization in order to plan and execute the development strategy for the assigned projects/programs
- Drives the project / program's through completion within scope, timeline, quality and budgetary constraints
- Identify and implements new solutions to improve tracking, planning and collaboration
- Ensure effective, accurate and timely communication across functional areas within the project / program, serving as a primary point of contact for management within and outside the team regarding progress on project / program goals
- Work with the team leader to identify and resolve any team and individual performance issues
- Proactively identifies issues and provides general guidance on resolving project / program challenges by developing solutions to meet productivity and quality goals and objectives
- Quality Control process: Define checking requirements, implementation plan, deployment and metrics
- Maintain productive relationships with internal and external customers
- Initiates and coordinates the decision-making and risk-management process. Troubleshoots and is proactive in dealing with vendor / collaborator issues
Requirements:-
- You will need an exceptional educational background, Engineering and/or Business degree
- At least 7-10 years work experience with a proven track record of program experience in the equipment industry. Semiconductor, solar and/or crystal growth(beneficial)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels both within and outside the company in order to establish credibility with professionals on the project teams
- Ability to interact and present effectively to the executive team
- Experienced in managing projects/programs using Stage-Gate, PACE, PRINCE2, or other structured program management tools
- Proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software: MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CAD, CAD model design life cycle management, and Visio.
- Ideal candidate can work independently in a fast paced R&D environment with other designers and engineers.
- Willing to travel
