The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience with an emphasis on personal solicitation and a strong conservation ethic. Additional qualifications include a college degree, extensive interpersonal, relationship and team building skills, oral and written communication skills, ability to provide leadership and guidance to other development professionals and volunteers, computer literacy with a proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database programs, and a desire and ability to travel extensively within the region. Familiarity or experience with planned giving, a working knowledge of the region’s philanthropic community, and an interest in outdoor conservation activities are also desired.
