The Environment Team in Haywards Heath is expanding to meet an increasing workload for a range of local and national clients. They form part of the overall business strategy to increase business and deliver to the local market in the South East of England. | Job description | We looking to recruit a Director to lead and manage the Haywards Heath AG. The main characteristics of this role are: - Develop and expand Royal Haskoning’s environment consultancy services in the South East, focusing on coastal & marine developments, river and catchment development, energy, waste and industry sectors.
- Recruit, develop, coach and mentor team; taking full line management responsibilities;
- Providing full financial accountability for proposal, projects and Advice Group costs.
- Development and implementation of business winning strategy for the Advise Group and contribution to the company’s combined environment strategy.
- Active involvement as Project Director in projects. Providing project management as well as technical input to multi-disciplinary projects.
Development of Royal Haskoning’s environment team and services: - Line management responsibilities for the Environment Advice Group. Taking full personnel, financial, project and business development responsibilities for the group.
- Project winner: Acquire on your own and assist in acquiring projects using inter-divisional, UK and regional approach;
- Play an active role as a project director, project manager or lead consultant within environment projects, to achieve a target of at least 50% order related work;
- Technical expertise in various environmental aspects, which may include: project management, policy evaluation, environmental impact assessments, strategic environmental assessments, appropriate assessments, PPC permitting, audits and surveys.
- Act as a senior representative with clients;
- Promote the reputation of Royal Haskoning UK in general and more specifically through our environment capabilities;
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients; other external stakeholders (including public, private and voluntary sectors etc.);
- Monitor clients, initiatives, proposals and projects related to environmental consultancy (i.e. know what is going on in the market);
- Be aware of developments and opportunities in the (national and local) environment market and formulate initiatives to take advantage of them;
- Demonstrate a highly commercial perspective with a strong external focus to winning work;
- Assist, support and provide information to the RH sector champions, Regional Managers and other Advisory Group Directors regarding the development and execution of the environment marketing strategies elsewhere, where appropriate.

| Your qualifications and experience | Experience & Qualifications: - Substantial and relevant experience;
- Outgoing, confident and able to manage a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Membership of IEMA, CIWEM, CIWM or equivalents
- Demonstrable track record within the environment sector
- Experience in Business Development and Marketing
- Excellent communicator with and entrepreneurial skills
