Directing Carbon Consultant, North East Coast - USA

My client is a leading renewable energy consultancy offering regulatory and financial advice on carbon reduction initiatives for a wide range of clients. They are currently looking to hire a senior carbon emissions advisor with a proven track record in providing effective and ultimately profitable advisory services to c-level clients on carbon emissions reduction strategies. My client is keen to see candidates with experience in a variety of countries as the role will require you to offer advice on a wide range of regulatory specifications and requirements as well as the global emission reduction policies. The role also requires someone capable of leading a bright and talented group of carbon emissions analysts and researchers working to add value to the advice given to clients so leadership skills are vital to succeed in the role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced carbon emissions consultant to move into a challenging yet immensely rewarding senior management position.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Working with c-level clients to develop and impact extensive carbon emission reduction strategies
• Ensuring that all senior clients are made aware of any legislation, new and old, that may affect any current or planned undertakings in the US or abroad
• Working with clients to determine the most profitable ways to negotiate current reduction legislation , both national and international.
• Managing and directing a group of talented researchers and analysts in their quest to expand and update the cache of information on carbon emissions policies and global targets
• Working with my client’s CEO to develop the carbon consulting teams across the US and Asia.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in carbon emissions
• Extensive consulting experience within the carbon  space
• Proven leadership skills within a large organisations
• Experience working with a large variety of clients across the world
• Strong academic background in environmental sustainability
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
