Opower’s thermostat solutions team is building the world’s most engaging and user-friendly software platform to help people better manage their home heating and cooling, without sacrificing comfort. We’re looking for someone to lead marketing and product development for direct to consumer offerings. 
You will be an integral member of the thermostat solutions team, helping craft strategy and lead development and launch of Opower thermostat solutions offerings sold directly through retail, trade and online channels. You will work closely with Opower’s manufacturing and retail partners and will be accountable for sales results of all direct to consumer thermostat products. 
This is an ideal job for a proven leader in marketing or product management with a background in consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics, or home comfort controls. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with senior executives to set the strategy for direct to consumer thermostat solutions offerings
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to develop marketing plans for retail offerings, including pricing, promotion, packaging, etc.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with retail partners and HVAC trade channel allies
  • Project manage new product launches
  • Define product positioning and key product messaging
  • Collect and synthesize customer feedback and incorporate into future product development

ABOUT YOU

  • BS or BA in business, marketing, engineering or related field; MS, MA, or MBA is a plus
  • 5-10 years of professional experience marketing or product management for consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics, or home comfort controls
  • You are obsessed with design and consumer-centric products
  • You are analytical, yet creative
