DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN Job Title: Digital Marketing Intern Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager & Managing Director Responsible to: Managing Director Location: Frontier Office, London, UK PRIMARY FUNCTION To assist the Online Marketing Team in the marketing and public relations activities of Frontier; to raise awareness, promote expeditions, and assist in recruiting volunteers through direct marketing methods; to assist with Frontier’s online marketing output, research and development incorporating website copy as well as Social Media Activity MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Research and develop methods of digital marketing aimed at reaching and engaging Frontier’s demographic - Assist with design of graphics, images and video content - Use photoshop and video editing skills for designing promotional materials - Assist in the creation of newsletters and online marketing campaigns using platforms such as mailchimp - Manage social media and email platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube - Use programmes to schedule posts on social media - Follow and report on online trends and tailor content to target demographics - Development of social networks to meet SEO targets - Seek out new relationships for promotional campaigns - Work with Digital Marketing Manager on online paid advertising for key channels - Liaise with the research department and overseas staff TERMS & CONDITIONS Contract Duration: 3-6 months, minimum of 4 days a week, 10:00 – 17:30 with possibility of extension. Accommodation: N/A Travel: Travel allowance available to the equivalent of a London Zone 1-6 travel card. Insurance & Admin: N/A Subsistence: Non – salaried position. Subsidised 10-week overseas placement on a Frontier research programme (excluding return flights, visas, insurance, and dive- training) or potential opportunity for a 3-6 month Field Communications Officer role on successful completion. Training: Job handover and training in role specific software and programmes provided. JOB SPECIFICATION Qualifications Education/Knowledge: - Educated to degree level or currently studying for a degree - Knowledge of conservation issues Experience: - Experience of office and administration experience - Experience of using Facebook, Instagram Twitter and YouTube - Experience of working with NGOs - Experience of working in developing countries - Experience scheduling social media posts visa programmes such as hootsuite - Journalism or writing skills - Experience managing or writing newsletters through services such as mailchimp Skills: - Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills - Photoshop and/or other photo/video editing suites - Database experience - Excellent computer skills - HTML and Web design - CMS/SysAdmin - Videography and video editing experience - Photography experience - Experience using Canva - Graphic design skills Personal Attributes: - Flexible approach - Uses own initiative - High attention to detail - Ability to motivate others, and work as part of a team - Sense of humour - Commitment to conservation
