Development Manager, Milan, Italy

My client is one of the  leading renewable energy providers globally. They specialize in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon modules and are also a leading commercial and utility-scale solar PV developer with a strong market presence in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific regions. They are looking to recruit

a development manager to join their team in Milan.  

Position Overview:
The development manager will be responsible for Solar project sourcing (due diligence, preliminary study), evaluation and execution.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Meet and screen developers and contractors to filter out quality projects
• ·         Negotiate with local developers to reach commercial agreement
• ·         Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for construction of site
• ·         Interact with government entities on behalf of the company, as needed
• ·         Manage development process from start to finish - outsource permitting process through local firm
• ·         Execute and monitor contract progress with local developer
• ·         Interface with internal legal & finance team and external legal & finance counsel to perform due diligence on projects
• ·         Interface with internal operation team on module planning, contract review, financial, tax issues
• ·         Manage due diligence process

Education:-

• ·         Strong educational background

Core Requirements:-

• ·         Has 3+ years project/development sourcing experience in PV
• ·         Familiar with European project investment structure and risk control
• ·         Clear access to BOS supplier and cost
• ·         4Relationship with local Grid companies or regulation organisations
• ·         Excellent commercial experience

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel frequently

• ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
• ·         Good oral and written communications skills  
• ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities

• Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Solar PV, Strong educational background, experience project development experience in the renewable energy industry, sale and project financing of renewable energy projects, team leadership experience and complex stakeholder and customer management experience.
