The Consortium for Ocean Leadership is pleased to announce the search for a Deputy Project Manager, Project Administration, Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI). This is a regular, full-time, exempt position. The position will report to the Senior Project Manager, OOI.

This position performs task-based and recurring project management and coordination activities that support integrated master scheduling, budgets, Finance, and Earned Value Management System (EVMS), procurement support management and has supervisory oversight of related functions within Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI).

Qualified applicants must possess: (1) A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., systems engineering, engineering, project management, business management, etc.), with Advanced Degree desired; (2) A minimum of seven  years of experience in systems engineering; (3) Demonstrated experience in project management; (4) Proven skills and competencies in budget management and analysis, EVMS, integrated schedule management, cost analysis, including cost/schedule integration and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and statements of work; (5) Excellent organizational and communication skills, including knowledge of collaborative applications and tools; (6) Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to effectively manage a team; (7) Keen attention to detail; (8) Ability to work as a team lead and team member in a diverse group; (9) Ability to work effectively with both government and contracted workforce members; (10) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and MS Project.
