Deputy Director, Climate and Energy Economics

Develops and implements strategy for Climate and Energy Economics. Analyzes the current political situation within both the U.S. and international context on climate change policy developments and disseminates current Brookings research by Warwick McKibbin and Peter Wilcoxen to promote actionable policy solutions. Communicates with research community, NGOs, policymakers and external stakeholders to advance Brookings research recommendations. Leads and organizes climate change roundtables, briefings, and events to disseminate conclusions within policy community. Monitors climate change policy efforts and composes short articles and briefs drawing upon prior research and practical knowledge of current developments within climate change field. Works in coordination with Central Communications and Program Director of Communications on development of any congressional outreach strategy and implementation
