Debt Project Finance Solar PV Specialist

My client is a well established player in the European solar photovoltaic market. They acquire and develop large solar PV projects across Germany, Italy, France and the CEE region including the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. They are expanding with a number of new projects in the pipeline so they are looking to hire a Debt Project Finance expert to join their headquarters in Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain debt project financing facilities for all new projects via banks or other financial institutions
• Negotiate at a senior level with potential lenders
• Reporting to the CFO, CEO, COO and other members of the management team in relation to progress or difficulties in obtaining or structuring financing solutions for various utility scale solar PV projects
• Cash flow modeling
• Prepare all necessary documentation
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with debt financing partners

Responsibilities:

• At least 3 years’ experience working in conventional or renewable energy debt project financing either in a bank or an energy project development company
• Proven track record assessing loans and securities
• Background in financial engineering or a similar discipline educated to BSC/MSC/Diplom-Kaufmann level
• Fluency in German and English
• Have a solid knowledge and understanding of the German market.
• Willing and able to live and work in Berlin. Some travel may be required up to 30%.
• Autonomous, knowledgeable and able to come up with realistic solutions for any problems that arise
• Good IT skills (Word and Excel)
