The Climate Concept Foundation is searching for a database expert / IT specialist to head the organization’s
technical fundraising administration at its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.
The position
The Climate Concept Foundation is a small, innovative environmental entrepreneurship initiative initiated
in 2010. The organization strives not only to further public awareness of environmental issues
focusing on climate change, but also aims to provide incentives for emission reduction projects outside
the effective scope of existing climate change policies such as the Kyoto Protocol.
For funding our operations, an efficiently operated fundraising administration is of crucial importance.
As the Foundation’s in-house database expert / IT specialist, you will be setting up the IT-infrastructure
needed for receiving and processing the data received from our fundraising cooperation partners, administrate
donor accounts and provide input to marketing operations and the Foundation’s Executive
Director. You will ensure the operational consistency of the database system, its adaptation to changing
requirements and demonstrate the integrity of data processing to external auditors in regular intervals.
You will closely work together with the Foundation’s PR-officer helping to demonstrate the ecologic
integrity of all operations to the public.
Your profile
If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and meet the following criteria, we would be very

· University degree in informatics or track record in administering a database system of the complexity
required by the Foundation’s operations on a professional basis for at least 2 years.
· Commitment to furthering the Foundation’s charitable purpose
· Very good analytical skills
· Team player with strong communicative capabilities; proven work experience in an interdisciplinary
work environment
· Proactive working attitude with business performance related sensitivity
· Ability to work under pressure
· Very good knowledge and command of written and oral English; good knowledge and command
of written and oral German
· Further languages would be an asset
· Work experience / knowledge about climate change science and/or policy would be an asset
