As a Data and Information Specialist for the Environment Agency, you will be at the forefront of managing the 78,000 flood assets across England. From flood defence banks and walls to pumping stations and sluices, you work will help to ensure the safety of people and property by maintaining and operating our assets effectively and efficiently. You will be part of a visionary team that reduces flood risk and delivers capital projects, acting as the 'intelligent' client to ensure successful solutions for local areas. Where you will work As our Data and Information Specialist you will be a member of one of our Asset Performance Teams, who are responsible for ensuring our assets are constructed, inspected, surveyed, assessed, maintained and operated in a safe, effective and efficient manner. The teams are a key part of reducing flood risk to people and property, and ensuring our projects deliver effective flood risk solutions for local communities. Our Welwyn Garden City base location has a hybrid model allowing individuals to work either at home or at our office (a minimum number of days in the office per week will be agreed with your line manager and will be dependent on business needs and reviewed periodically).
