Cultural Resources Group Director Location: San Francisco, CA Salary: $80,000- $120,000 We are seeking an experienced Cultural Resources Professional to lead a new/evolving prehistoric and historic Cultural Resources Group throughout the California marketplace. The ideal individual would have at least 8+ years of experience in working as a cultural resources professional with at least 4+ years leading a practice group in all aspects of technical and operational guidance. This would include providing all California based group oversight for the initiation, development, completion and review of research, cultural resource studies, field data collection / surveys, Phase I & II Assessments, and mitigation studies for compliance to CEQA/NEPA documentation. Candidates must be technical experts in relation to CEQA/NEPA compliance, regulatory permitting, section 106, national historic preservation act, sacred lands file checks, State historic preservation and archaeological resources regulations. This is a divisional group leadership opportunity with direct profit/loss, budgeting, project scoping, business development, technical direction and staff mentoring responsibilities. Requires a Degree in Archeology, Anthropology, Cultural Resources Management or related discipline. PHD Desired. Registered California Professional Archeologist a plus to consideration. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Additional paleontology knowledge is desired. Position can be based in Sacramento, San Francisco, Orange County or Los Angeles, California.
