You will play a lead role in helping to implement the Cumbria Rights of Way Improvement Plan, develop funding for elements of the plan and deliver projects on the ground. This is an exiting opportunity within the recently developed countryside access team to improve access in Cumbria
The post involves close working with a range of organisations and interests, including; adjacent Access Authorities, Natural England, DEFRA, the Local Access Forum, countryside managers and users.
You should have relevant experience in access planning, project development and funding, and knowledge of the CROW Act. You will be enthusiastic and self motivated, and have excellent communication skills. The post is based in Carlisle and involves work throughout the county.
