ZSL are looking for a Country Manager to manage and develop ZSL’s Cameroon country programme. The successful candidate will represent ZSL in Cameroon and be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for ZSL’s conservation work in Cameroon, building on ZSL’s existing work, in order to contribute to ZSL’s overall conservation objectives. Successful applicants will have an excellent standard of written and spoken French and English, and have a master’s degree (or higher) in a relevant subject. Experience in project and/or programme management and development, and in strategic planning, is essential, as is a proven track record of securing and managing funds from a range of funding sources and experience of engaging with a range of stakeholders. The candidate should also have experience of living and working in developing countries, preferably in Central Africa, and a good understanding of issues relating to conservation in the region. The post will be based in Yaoundé with regular national travel to field sites and other locations in Cameroon. Some travel within Central Africa may also be required. A salary commensurate with experience of £28,028 - £35,320 per annum will be provided. The position is to start as soon as possible.
