The coordinator will work with the program advisors, field staff, partners and donors to support proposal development and project management in the field of food and livelihood security, sustainable livelihoods, climate change adaptation, landscape management and private sector engagement. The program manages a major carbon mitigation initiative with field sites in Mexico and Sumatra and the coordinator will support the implementation and reporting on this initiative. The coordinator will also be responsible for financial and administrative management duties and will support the program and its field partners in matters of budgeting, financial reporting and donor compliance. This position will develop communication materials about the program's initiatives for internal and external use.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Support fundraising, coordinate with program advisors, field programs and partners on proposal development
Support field project implementation and donor reporting, prepare training materials, coordinate with field programs on technical and administrative matters
Develop, update and maintain promotional/informational resources to be shared with internal and external audiences, fact sheets, posters etc.
Coordinate logistics and plan program meetings, events and workshops, in collaboration with HQ staff and with field programs
- Perform program's administrative and financial processes, such as budgeting, financial monitoring and reporting.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment, with occasional international travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 2-3 years
Required Skills: A four-year bachelor's degree in a social science, geography, development economics or other related field
Good writing and communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills:Background in international development, with a preference for experience in food security
Basic GIS skills
Proficiency in a foreign language, preferrably Spanish
Administrative experience
Fundraising experience.
