As a Consumer Marketing Specialist at OPOWER, you will play a key role in developing and managing our communications to help utility consumers reduce their energy use. You will support innovations, while also refining areas of proven success. You will continually offer improvement opportunities as we work with a growing set of utilities to supercharge their customer communications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage libraries of marketing materials and content used across our clients.
  • Oversee marketing communications development process: collect and prioritize requirements; coordinate graphic design resources; assist in creative development.
  • Partner with client engagement managers and graphic designers to develop customized marketing materials for each client reflecting program strategy, OPOWER best practices and client requirements.
  • Identify improvement opportunities – both in marketing content and process.
  • Support home energy report, email, text, and new channel strategies.

About You

  • Bachelors degree with proven record of academic success.
  • 2-4 years post-collegiate work experience in marketing or an advertising agency in roles such as traffic management.
  • Very comfortable learning and leveraging a variety of software tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and HTML is a plus.
  • Excellent collaboration, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Great problem-solver – able to identify practical and creative solutions to address new challenges that arise.
  • Self-starter able to succeed with minimal hand-holding.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Work well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for delivering results is set high.
