Point Carbon, the world-leading provider of news and analysis for the carbon and energy markets, is looking to add a quantitatively oriented consultant to the R&A department.
The Position
The successful candidate will be working as an analyst in Point Carbon’s Advisory team. The position is based in Oslo.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participation in a team of over 20 analysts, consultants and researchers;
- Conduct research and analyses to be presented in projects for clients active in the global carbon and European energy markets;
- Development of financial, economic and statistical models, forecasts and frameworks to be used in consultancy projects;
- Participation in internal and external projects within energy/environmental markets, especially with investments in mind;
- Some travelling must be expected.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Master’s degree or similar degree from university;
- Minimum 1-2 years professional experience within energy/environmental markets (experience in renewable energy is a key advantage);
- Advanced user of Excel with good numerical analysis and modelling skills;
- Fluent communication skills, both written and oral, in English. Other languages are an advantage;
- Good writing skills for documents and reports;
- Analytical by nature and able to produce structured and high quality work.
