Construction Site Manager, Newcastle, UK

My client is one of the largest global developers with an outstanding reputation for excellence. They develop, construct and operate large scale offshore wind farms.

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Construction Project Manager, the successful candidate will be reponsible for the overall day to day operations and the running  of the wind farm.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Health and saftey coordinatrion
• ·         Ensuring site standards are established and observed
• ·         Ensure first aid facilities are readilly available
• ·         Risk assesment
• ·         Prepare weekly progress reports and monthly budget reviews
• ·         Heading reglaur onsite progress meetings
• ·         COSHH control
• ·         Assisting the Project Manager in the selection of contractors and suppliers
• ·         Ensuring compliance with project requirements

Education:

Strong degree or relevant qualification in construction or civil engineering

Core Requirements:-

• ·         Minimum 5 years relevant experience working in a similar role
• ·         Accuracy in the delivery of documentation and works
• ·         Ability to construct of high quality concise reports
• ·         Understanding on lines of responsibility
• ·         Multi discipline  awareness
• ·         Ability to travel and work at other wind farm sites within the UK Ireland

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Work well as part of a team
