Airtricity is seeking to appoint a Construction Project Manager to manage one or more windfarm construction projects in the South West of Ireland (primarily Cork and Kerry). Each project consists of a turbine project, civil and electrical engineering contracts, and where required contestable or non-contestable grid connection works.
Development work (including land, planning and preliminary grid connection work) will be completed by the Airtricity development department. The Construction Project Manager will be expected to take over project management of any outstanding development work once planning permission has been granted.
The key target for this person will be to deliver their assigned windfarm project(s) safely, on time and to budget, fully compliant with Airtricity design and EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) requirements, which meet Airtricity, Partner, and Stakeholder expectations.
Preferably this role will be based at Airtricity’s Killarney office or at one of the project site offices in Cork or Kerry. Alternatively this role could be based at one of our other regional offices (currently Dublin, Belfast, Omagh and Castlebar).
Key Tasks:
Education and experience The ideal candidate will likely be working in the construction industry in Ireland project managing the construction of electrical / power infrastructure – for example: wind or traditional power plants: substations or other electrical infrastructure; overhead or underground grid connections. The candidate may be working in the civil engineering sector but must have strong electrical experience. The candidate could be working on the client or contractor side or as a consultant to either party but must be able to show relevant experience of project managing large projects and project teams.
