Supervisor: Construction Contracts Manager

Description: This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing and administering contracts during the various stages of the construction process for RES Americas’ wind/solar farm construction activities throughout the US and Canada

Responsibilities:

1. Work with Construction Contracts Groups primarily on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Agreements, Balance of Plant (BOP) Agreements, Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA), Turbine Service and Maintenance Agreements, and (SMA) Solar Panel Purchase Agreements (SPPA).
2. Work with construction team on construction contracts including exhibits and ancillary documentation.
3. Coordinate with engineering teams on technical exhibits for  construction or major equipment purchase contracts.
4. Work with legal counsel on construction and major equipment purchases contracts.
5. Interface with vendors and major equipment suppliers.
6. Maintain RES Americas FTP (File Transfer Protocol) project files.
7. Professionally represent the company.
8. Assist construction project managers with original contract negotiations; create and update contract order changes.
9. Follow any other job-related duties/functions requested by the supervisor.
10. Write scopes of work.

Requirements:

1. 3+ years construction experience (PM role) or engineering experience preferred.
2. Successful candidate will be an effective communicator (written & verbal).
3. Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
4. Experience in wind and/or solar power or related construction sector preferred.
5. Possess strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
6. Work well under time constraints and in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
7. Experience with large scale and complex contracts.
8. Candidate must have the ability to work independently, be self-directed, innovative, and results-oriented.
9. Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions.
10. Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and negotiation skills.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Math.
