Construction Bid Manager, South West UK

I am currently recruiting for a Bid Manager to join a leading business based near Oxford.  This business builds and operated industrial recycling plants throughout the UK, due to further growth they now have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to join their team in the South West of England.  Due to the current growth within the business this is a great opportunity for someone to join as a Bid Manager and progress their career within the business.  

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for reviewing customer specifications, you will interpret the specification and provide detailed proposals for the UK sales team. You will work closely with the manufacturing and project team to ensure the bid is technically accurate.  You will be involved in proving bids for construction and capital equipment installation projects.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Review client requirements and provide accurate proposals
• ·         Work closely with project and manufacturing teams
• ·         Communicate effectively with the sales team to ensure commercial interests are met

Education:-

• ·         Ideally degree educated in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent experience

Core Requirements:-

• At least 3 years relevant work experience in tendering, bid management or proposals
• Strong understanding of the construction and capital equipment installation
• A good appreciation of technical equipment

General Requirements:-

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
• ·         Ability to work under pressure
