Job Title: Conservation Special Projects Manager Department: Conservation Reports To: Conservation Director THE TIME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IS NOW Special Projects Manager - Conservation Progams Sierra Club, America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization, is seeking an experienced projects manager to lead and implement a wide variety of new conservation program projects involving all levels of participants organization-wide. Responsibilities will involve defining the projects' scope, establishing objectives and work plans, project tracking analysis and project implementation. This key organizational role will require the ability to gain participation and support throughout the organization, lead work teams who have a wide range of professional expertise, resolve complex issues and problems and keep projects advancing on schedule. Assigned projects will include the design and implementation of standards for quantitative analysis and reporting systems for all conservation programs, implementation of broad staffing and work re-organization plans and implementation of a professional development program. Qualified candidates will have a BA degree in Business, a closely related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience plus at least 3 years' prior management level experience in a high volume, deadline-driven operations or project management role for a complex organization. Demonstrated expertise in the use of quantitative tools and techniques for operational and financial analysis, effective communication skills and the ability to establish collaborative working relationships are essential.
