Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), Canada’s most trusted and respected wetland conservation organization, is looking for a confident, energetic and dedicated professional to join our team. Please apply by May 18, 2011.

You are an effective communicator who is able to deliver the Atlantic Wetland Care program and build positive working relationships with landowners. Working with other staff members you will co-ordinate the development and dissemination of resources as outlined in the Landowner Relations Strategy within the Atlantic Region,maintain the budget and identify funding opportunities to support the program.

Your three years of experience and directly related knowledge make you the ideal candidate for this position, which is located in Amherst, N.S. You possess strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills. You are self-motivated, enjoy a complex, changing environment and can manage numerous projects on tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • An ecology, biology, or other relevant degree or diploma
  • Understands and can explain basic waterfowl and wetland ecology and biological processes.
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
