Conservation Policy Officer – Living Landscapes

Edinburgh

£20-23k per annum

The Scottish Wildlife Trust is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Conservation Policy Officer – Living Landscapes to take forward its vitally important advocacy work in Scotland.

An exciting element of this role is to develop our policies on our pioneering ‘Living Landscapes’ initiative.   Working with a range of partnership organisations you will play a key, frontline role in advocating terrestrial ecosystem-based conservation to the Scottish Parliament, the Scottish Government and its agencies.

Applicants must be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent, and have proven experience in a similar role.   Being politically astute with excellent advocacy and communication skills are essential, along with a high degree of initiative and understanding of Scotland’s key nature conservation policy issues.
