COMMUNITY PROJECTS OFFICER FSC JUNIPER HALL Dorking, Surrey FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of ‘Bringing Environmental Understanding to All’ via its network of Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom. We currently have a vacancy for a Community Projects Officer at our residential Centre at Juniper Hall in Dorking. In this exciting new role, the post-holder will spend approximately 50% of their time working directly with the Head of Centre and Head of Education developing and planning community projects. The remainder of their time will be spent working alongside the Office Manager, assisting with the administration for the whole centre. The post holder must be enthusiastic about the environment and be keen to have a role in helping others enjoy activities in the outdoors and to help them understand and respect their natural surroundings. A degree in Geography, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or closely allied discipline is essential, as is experience of project management and teaching/fieldwork. The post will best suit someone who shows initiative during the course of their employment to identify and prioritise tasks amongst the many that need to be carried out. This temporary post is offered for up to 12 months in the first instance. The salary is offered at £16,587 per annum, based on 40 hours per week.
