Summary:  Identify prospects for Next Step Living and its services through promotion to target populations by performing the following duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Promote NSL activities and services and distribute educational materials to the community through various forms of face-to-face interaction
  • Collect contact information from interested residents at planned events or through street interactions in target communities
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly targets for prospects collected
  • Work with Community Outreach team to refine messaging and strategy for maximum success of prospect collection
  • Enter collected contact information into Next Step Living customer relationship management software system
  • Frequent travel required to Next Step Living’s partner communities
  • Event attendance on nights and weekends required
  • May assist Customer Service Team when needed

  • Education/Experience:
    • A High School Diploma; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Language Ability:
    • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
    • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Computer Skills:
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; and Spreadsheet software;
  • Work Environment:
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Physical Demands:
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Peripheral vision.
    • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; and  occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
