£19126 (point 21) + casual user car allowance

BEVERLEY, EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sustainable Development Team to support policy development and delivery. Sustainable Development is a dynamic team located in Economic Development and is responsible for the delivery of policy and partnership development in a range of Sustainable Development issues including; coastal management, biodiversity, sustainable environment and climate change.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist in the development and delivery of corporate policy covering environmental management and climate change. You will also play an important role in supporting the activities of relevant partnership groups covering the team's work.

You should be educated to degree level and have some experience in a relevant area of work. You will be computer literate and familiar with all standard IT packages.
It is important that you have the ability to clearly communicate relevant issues to help build strong relationships with internal departments and other partnerships.

Experience of working in partnerships would be beneficial, as the role involves working with the voluntary, public and private sector. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of project and policy development and some knowledge of national policies and issues relating to environmental management and climate change.

The post is based at County Hall, Beverley, for 37 hours per week.
