Communications Lead

Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity and social enterprise. We run a wide range of projects, tackling climate change and social injustice and bringing our community together.

We are looking for an experienced Communications Lead to play a key role in delivering Greener Kirkcaldy’s marketing, communications, campaigns and events programme.

This is a new post. Our staff team is growing as we expand our programme of work to meet the needs of our community and tackle the twin climate and cost-of-living crises. You will be joining Greener Kirkcaldy along with other new staff at an exciting time for the charity.

Greener Kirkcaldy’s work is diverse and includes programmes of action on climate change, fuel poverty and food insecurity. We work in Kirkcaldy and across the region of Fife, often in partnership with other charities and public-sector organisations.

You will lead a small team to develop and coordinate marketing and communications for all Greener Kirkcaldy teams and projects, coordinate the Greener Kirkcaldy events calendar and deliver engagement activities and campaigns to encourage individuals, households, community groups and businesses to make Fife a greener and fairer place to live. Campaigns will cover a wide range of topics and behaviour change themes including home energy efficiency, food, transport and waste reduction. 

Hours of work: 28 hours per week (0.8 full-time equivalent), but we would consider requests for fewer hours.
