This position will provide communications and data management support input to two capacity development, science and development projects: The Development Corridors Partnership and Trade, Development and the Environment (TRADE) Hub project – both funded by the Global Challenges Research Programme of the UK Government.

DCP is working on the impacts of development corridors in Africa (Kenya and Tanzania) and has partners in UK Universities’ and China working in collaborating with NGOs and Universities in Africa.  TRADE is a programme coordinated by UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) that aims to enhance positive outcomes, and reduce impacts on nature and people, of local to global trade in wildlife, wild meat, and commodity trades around the world.  It will link to researchers in the UK, Brazil, Cameroon, Gabon, Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Indonesia, China and several other countries. There will also be significant interaction with companies and finance institutions, trade rules bodies, scientific modellers and visualisation and technology experts.

We are seeking a Communications and Data Officer to support the work of the project manager and Principal Investigator (PI) for this complex programme working across multiple countries.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post where you can impress us with your administration skills, we want to hear from you. Please complete our application form and send it together with your CV and a short covering letter through this link by 5th January 2020.  UNEP-WCMC is an equal opportunities employer.  This is not a UN post.
