Meridian is looking for a confident and ambitious financial analyst with an accounting background and strong Excel skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Set-up and develop processes to manage spend with material third party service providers
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects to improve systems and procedures
  • Perform month end reconciliations
  • Maintain and develop critical relationships with external vendors

The ideal candidate will have an accounting background as the nature of the work and projects will have a financial focus. The candidate will possess advanced Excel skills and have an eye for detail. You should have experience with data analysis, modelling and reporting. You should be able to complete financial tasks efficiently and accurately with excellent communication skills.

Experience in the electricity market or a large organisation would be an advantage but not essential. Meridian is one of New Zealand's largest electricity generator and one of the largest electricity retailers.
