We seek a Climate Resilient Communities Manager to be responsible for developing and leading NWF's work on urban and community-oriented climate change adaptation. The goal of the Climate Resilient Communities program is to ensure that as cities and other communities begin addressing climate change, natural systems approaches to adaptation are fully integrated into their efforts for the benefit of both people and wildlife. The Climate Resilient Communities Manager will be responsible for development of a program/campaign plan that builds on NWF's core values and strengths, and advances organizational interests in such areas as wildlife and habitat conservation, climate policy, and conservation movement building. He or she will also be responsible for implementing key program/campaign elements through working with peers within the climate change safeguards team and across the organization, fundraise to build a strong and sustainable program collaboration with their supervisor, development staff, and work with and seek to influence local governments, utilities, NGOs, and other community leaders. The Climate Resilient Communities is also expected to form strong partnerships with national organizations and initiatives related to urban or community-based adaptation in order to collaboratively advance local efforts and promote a supportive federal policy agenda.
