The ideal candidate would also be willing to assist with some of Ecology North's other public outreach and environmental education programs. This would enable Ecology North to extend the initial position beyond six months. Additional activities we require assistance with include the following: * coordinating a Youth Ecology Club * coordinating and facilitating public outreach events * assisting with on-going book-keeping and communication with members This position is a full-time six-month term position based on a 37.5 hour work week, beginning in July 2009. This position could also be organized as a half or three-quarter time position over a longer time period. Compensation will be between $48,000 - $57,000 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. The candidate will work in collaboration with the three current staff members at Ecology North, under direction from the Program Director, and with assistance from the Program Coordinator who has completed previous work on the potential impacts of climate change on water and wastewater systems.
