Job title: Climate Change Manager
Reporting to: Managing Director, Climate Change Delivery for day to day activities

Principle Role

To manage the development and assist in the implementation and successful operation of
emission reduction projects with project partners, SCC technical teams and assist the activities of
the SCC Climate Change Team in China and India respectively, and globally.
Introduction to Sindicatum Carbon Capital (SCC)
We provide the vision, the finance and the technical expertise to develop greenhouse gas
(“GHG”) emission reduction or displacement projects that enable businesses and host countries
to reduce carbon emissions and produce clean energy and environmental commodities.
Our investors include three leading US university endowments, five prominent US charitable
foundations and global financial institutions representing the commodity, banking, insurance
and alternative investment sectors.
We work with project owners to provide end-to-end turnkey solutions to achieve greenhouse gas
emission reductions at least cost. We provide a unique blend of:
• Project origination
• Project planning
• Project management and execution
• Climate change science expertise
• Funding
• Best in class technology
We have developed a global portfolio of projects and generally act as a principal in each of
our target markets – undertaking much of the origination and development activities using our
own professionals and local offices. We have adopted this model in order to put in place the
systems and processes to ensure the integrity of the information we receive, as well as of the
overall management and approach to projects globally.
Our willingness to play a true project developer and principal finance role is, in our experience,
well received by project hosts globally. A key attribute of this principal approach is that we align
our interests directly with those of the project owner or partner with respect to project risks, assets
at risk (such as capital) and financial returns.
Responsibilities: The role will involve being responsible for the management of a number of
CDM Project projects in China (and other countries if specified by SCC) through to registration
by the CDM EB, together with the SCC China technical and climate change teams. Once

• Assisting the Project owner in obtaining any necessary permits, FSRs, EIAs etc.
• Managing the local stakeholder consultation process
• Facilitating validation, verification and certification activities by DOEs, - which may
include accompanying DOEs on site visits.
When projects are registered, the CDM Project Manager may be required, amongst other things,
to:
• Oversee the preparation and implementation of appropriate monitoring and reporting
systems
• Prepare, or assist Project Owners in the preparation of monitoring reports for submission to
DOEs
• Assist with annual internal audits of monitoring and reporting systems for individual
projects
Other activities might include:
• Facilitating / providing training for Project Owners / staff on the baseline and monitoring
methodologies
• Assisting business development activities to investigate new technologies / new project
opportunities
• Attending and if possible, presenting at international conferences
Travel: A significant amount of national travel is anticipated and is likely to be essential to fulfilling
the responsibilities. International travel to conferences and meetings may also be required.

GHG inventory, non-CO2 GHG manufacture, municipal waste, transport or use etc. would be
