Climate Change, Energy and Buildings - Senior Project Officer

Lambeth Council has agreed an ambitious target to reach net zero across its estate and operations by 2030. Reducing the carbon emissions associated with heating and powering our buildings is a critical part of achieving our goal.

This year Lambeth will begin an ambitious retrofit programme on the borough’s schools, but we want to go further.

We are looking for someone to join our team who can help us develop our buildings programme; bringing expertise on energy efficiency and low carbon technology and track record of successfully funding and managing retrofit projects.

You’ll work as part of a committed and talented team to improve our data on our residential and non-residential stock, identify opportunities for retrofit, and find the best solutions and models for funding.

Reducing carbon emissions is a collaborative effort, and so we’re looking for someone with a good track record of working effectively with different teams to provide advice and support to get projects up and running, or commissioning suppliers and directly managing project delivery where necessary.

Over the course of 2021 we’ll also be working with partners to develop energy and retrofit strategies for the borough. This will be a great opportunity to work with the team and apply your technical knowledge and skills to the challenge of reducing carbon emissions across the borough.
