We are currently seeking for a U.S. Climate Change Country Manager.
Responsibilities will include varying facets of advanced technical assessments, verifications and reviews and technical problem solving relating to complex PDD validations, CDM/JI verifications, energy/utility industry projects in GHG inventory/baseline verifications or project verifications under voluntary /mandatory programs.
Full responsibility of the Climate change operation in the country and accountability for business results, customer satisfaction, people satisfaction and financial success.
Additional Priorities will include: · Development and growth strategic plan , having as a first phase 2012, · Implementation of growth strategy · Development of service lines in country · Development and management of a multidiscipline team of experts · Quality deliverables and client satisfaction
Depending on the size of the unit, we will also expect up to 50% invoice-ability of country managers
| Job Requirements : | Experience Recognized in CCS and industry 5 years hands-on experience in GHG quantification, verification/validation and/or GHG auditing for company inventories and/or emission reduction projects A minimum of 8 years of experience, including relevant industry specialization, business development and management are required. Management experience for experience and/or training in the fields of GHG Capable of developing and leading business improvement and CCS change processes in client organizations Demonstrated success in business development Managing and delivering services with a multidisciplinary team of experts
Knowledge Knowledge of one ore more areas: GHG policies, regulations, programs, registry requirements, protocols and standards, in particular: WBCSD/WRI GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CCAR, CCX, RGGI, 1605b, US EPA Climate Leaders, Green-e, VCS, EU-ETS, and CDM/JI, etc. Thorough knowledge in one or more related technical disciplines (environmental, management systems, ISO 14001, ISO 14064, sustainability, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, forestry, economist, environmental finance, GHG life cycle analysis, ISO 14040 series, Responsible Care) Knowledge of the business reality in the country
Qualifications Bachelors Science, environmental science, engineering, finance, business, economics Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and working knowledge of other languages would be valuable Ability to work with in multicultural environments
