Based in the Friends of the Earth Europe office, Brussels. Are you passionate about intersectional, climate justice movements across Europe? We are looking for a campaigner who will work as a member of the climate justice and energy team. If successful you will contribute to FoE Europe’s work on energy poverty, part of the “Right to Energy” campaign. This post will particularly focus on supporting our movement building for the “Right to Energy” campaign, ensuring our campaign is intersectional and mobilises activists for climate justice at grassroots and EU level. You will specifically work with groups across Europe and the “Right to Energy Coalition”. This role will help promote real solutions including housing renovations and renewables for low-income groups and tackle the grip of fossil fuels on our energy system. Friends of the Earth Europe campaigns at the heart of Europe for sustainable and just societies and for the protection of the environment. We are the largest grassroot environmental network in Europe, uniting 32 national organisations with thousands of local groups as part of Friends of the Earth International. Our vision is of a peaceful and sustainable world, founded on social, economic, racial, gender and environmental justice and free from all forms of domination and exploitation. *** We offer:The position is currently online and can be done remotely but when Corona measures ease it is assumed you will join us in Brussels in the FoEE office. This position is offered for 4 days a week. A salary between Euro 2.096 and 3.094 gross per month, depending on experience. FoE Europe offers an attractive benefits package, including a 13th month salary, lunch vouchers, an additional 5 days of holidays per year, pension scheme, hospitalisation and comprehensive travel insurance. We also offer full coverage of train travel in case of commuting within Belgium. FoE Europe offers a motivating working environment in an international NGO and office located in an environmentally-friendly NGO building. We offer the position for 10 months.
