The Carbon Trust currently operates two certification schemes for the measurement, management and reduction of carbon footprints through Carbon Trust Certification (CTC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Carbon Trust: 1) The Carbon Trust Standard certifies that organisations have measured, managed and reduced their carbon footprint. To date the Company has completed over 1000 certifications with more than 350 organisations certified against the Standard, including HP, Morrisons, B&Q, Diageo and O2. More details of the Carbon Trust Standard can be found on our website: www.carbontrust.com 2) The Carbon Reduction Label is a sign that organisations have measured the footprint of their products in accordance with the requirements of PAS 2050 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for product carbon footprinting. It undertakes impartial certification services to UK and international clients, by certifying whether product carbon footprints submitted by a client have been calculated in accordance with these requirements. Upon successful certification companies are eligible to apply to use the Carbon Reduction Label (although this is not mandatory).
