This Victorian Government authority aims to sustainably manage sewerage and drainage assets so they are maintained, improved and renewed for the long-term good of the Victorian community.

As an Asset Management / Project Management Engineer, you will responsible for managing a portfolio of assets including sewerage and drainage pipelines, sewerage ventilation stacks, detention tanks, silt/litter traps, channels, retarding basins, levee banks and other nominated structures. At a strategic level, you will be responsible for the development, review and implementation of asset management strategies and programs.

The duties associated with this position include:

•    Review and development of asset strategies
•    Structural inspections and preparation of associated reports
•    Instigation of funding proposals
•    Preparation of consultant briefs
•    Assessment of consultants proposals and designs
•    Project delivery
•    Management of remedial work
•    Provision of technical advice
•    Liaison with field staff, customers and the general public.

The position requires:

•    A tertiary engineering qualification
•    Knowledge, experience and expertise in the design and behaviour of water assets.
•    An understanding of the operating context of these assets
•    An ability to independently recognise the development of potential risks
•    Experience in measuring asset performance and risk development options,
•    A knowledge of how to seek approval and implement actions required to manage asset maintenance, identified non-conformances and risks.

A salary package will be offered between $57,000 and $81,000 depending on the level of experience brought to the role.
