My client is a leading solar photovoltaic(PV) manufacturer and over a number of years built up a strong track record in the manufacturering of both mono and poly crystalline silicon and thin-film solar photovoltaic(PV) modules. They are currently looking to expand their operations after a success merger and as such are looking to recruit a senior individual to oversee their entire solar photovoltaic(PV) cell and module manafactruing department globally.
Responsibilities:-
- Leading, training and giuiding all the engineers within the respective departments(process,equipment,R&D)
- In charge of troubleshooting and handling customer complaints
- You will be responsible for the mono- and poly-crystalline silicon solar photovoltaic(PV) assembly processes of machine setup, maintenance and production
- You will need to analyse the process on a regular basis and suggest improvements to streamline the production of solar photovoltaic(PV) cells and modules
- Periodic review of work procedures and processes and update the operators work instructions whenever required as a continuous improvement measure
- Build-up of R&D and strategic supplier network
- Expansion planning of production capacity and vertical integration
- To carry out necessary design of experiments to optimize process parameters to improve solar photovoltaic(PV) product quality
- Responsible for improving solar photovoltaic(PV) cell efficiencies and enhancing yield and reliability through process development and optimisation
- Oversee all the operations within both departments and be the go-to person for all the employees within the respective departments
- Technical responsibility for ramp up of solar photovoltaic(PV) production lines
- Responsible for constant improvement of key productivity indicators, especially efficiency, yield and uptime
Requirements:-
- You will need an exceptional educational background (PHD desirable)
- At least 7-10 years work experience
- Excellent knowledge of mono and poly crystalline silicon manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Must have experience in setting up the process for high efficiency solar photovoltaic(PV) r cell manufacturing lines
- Must have experience in solar cell industry as a process expert for process optimisation, improvement in high efficiency technology
- Must have an understanding of EWT, laser printing and lip process
- Must have experience in characterization and fabrication of solar photovoltaic(PV) cells
