Description
The RSPB is Europe's largest environmental charity specialising in bird and biodiversity conservation. We have a formidable track record of successfully tackling the complex issues that affect birds and other wildlife in the UK and around the world. These achievements are possible thanks to the support of over a million members, 13,500 volunteers and 1,800 staff. Our UK operations include four country offices, 10 regional offices and 210 nature reserves. We are driven by our belief that a world rich in birds and other wildlife is a world that is also good for people. We are now seeking to recruit a new Chief Executive to continue our work and grow our conservation effectiveness. This is an important, high profile leadership role that will give reward and challenge in equal measure. To be successful, you will have a proven track record of success in a significant leadership role within a large, complex and geographically dispersed organisation. You will be a skilled advocate and communicator with the ability to engage with a wide range of diverse stakeholders. You will be commercially astute with the ability to inspire, motivate and create partnerships and alliances. Above all else, you will have an empathy and understanding of the natural world.
