Chief Engineer, Erfurt, Germany

My client  is a leading German module producer  and over a number of years have built up a strong track record in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon solar photovoltaic(PV) modules. They are expanding their operations in Canada, France, Italy and Germany and as such are seeking a driven and experienced individual to oversee their global module production operations.

Core Criteria:
My client is seeking a chief engineer to oversee their global module production operations.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Responsible for the module manufacturing department and the production management team for module production
• ·         Overseeing the planning, build-up and facilitation of module production lines
• ·         Responsibility for constant improvement of key productivity indicators, especially efficiency, yield and uptime
• ·         Build-up of R&D and strategic supplier network
• ·         Attending international conferences and trade fairs
• ·         Sales support for key customers
• ·         Liaise with equipment and module procurement teams
• ·         Investor relations and participation in Board Meetings
• ·         Expansion planning of production capacity
• ·         introduce standardized working methods

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong education background in an Engineering field (M.S or PHD, desirable)

Core Requirements:-

• ·         You will have at least 5-7 years experience within solar industry in  a similar senior module production and/ or engineering role.
• ·         An organized and methodical approach to problem solving
• ·         Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive to cost effective solutions

General Requirements:-

• ·         Ability to manage projects and resources to meet deadlines
• ·         Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry
• ·         Strong technical leadership, communication and motivation skills
