The Position
The successful candidate will be working as a CDM/JI market analyst in Point Carbon’s Research & Advisory department, and participate in a dynamic team of market analysts on EU ETS, CDM/JI and other Kyoto markets. The position is based in Oslo.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Main contributor to two analytical CDM/JI publication series on Point Carbon’s “Carbon Project Manager”
- Writing short and rapid analysis on recent developments in the CDM/JI market
- Analysing CDM/JI market implications of policy decisions
- Analysing investment climate in CDM and JI countries
- Contributing to other carbon market analyses done by the analyst team
Qualifications
- Minimum Master degree or similar degree from university, for example in engineering, industrial economics or climate policy.
- Preferably 1-2 years professional experience within carbon markets, particularly within the CDM and JI markets
- Excellent understanding of the interplay between policy and market
- Good writing skills for documents and reports
- Fluent communication skills, both written and oral, in English. Other languages is an advantage
- You are analytical by nature and your work is recognised by structure and high quality
