CDM Specialist, Dublin, Ireland

My client is a global engineering and consultancy firm in the energy industry which also offers operations and maintenance solutions to its clients. My client operates across Europe and the Middle East and are currently looking for a CDM (clean development mechanism) specialist to assist them in their CDM project development ventures.

Position Overview:

My client is currently looking for a CDM specialist who has an extensive technical knowledge of the entire CDM cycle. You will be responsible for all aspects of the CDM cycle from origination and conducting feasibility studies to validation, verification and registration. This is a key hire for my clients and are looking for strong candidates who can integrate well into a multicultural environment and can be relied upon to look after such projects with minimal supervision – this is an excellent opportunity for you to work in an organisation that will invest in your career and gain valuable experience in an international environment.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Conduct feasibility studies of CDM projects
• ·         Assess the viability of registration for such CDM projects
• ·         Lead the CDM development process and coordinate all efforts to this effect
• ·         Be an active member in the development of the PDD’s
• ·         Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and figures in the market such as with DOEs, CDM developers and consultants etc
• ·         Conduct continuous due diligence on projects to ensure that they are completed to the highest standards
• ·         Estimate the project potential for the generation of CERs

Education:

• ·         BSc or MSc in engineering, environmental science, management or related fields

Core Requirements:

• ·         Have at least 3-5 years experience in the CDM industry
• ·         Have experience in liaising with DOEs
• ·         Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• ·         Fluent in English
• ·         Must have a strong technical knowledge of the entire CDM cycle through registration

General Requirements:

• ·         Be willing to work out Dublin
• ·         Knowledge of the Kyoto Protocol
• ·         Additional languages are preferable
