As on of the leading global companies with carbon management, my client has offices and projects across the globe and is a world leader in assisting companies reduce both their carbon footprint and environmental impact as well as being a world leader in developing Gold Standard carbon credits. They are seeking a CDM Projects Officer to join their team in Somerset and help them continue their work with some of the worlds largest names in business.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking a CDM projects officer to join their global team, to conduct and help with all aspects of their CDM projects, including research, development, documentation, coordination and implementation.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Assisting with all aspects of the CDM project life cycle in accordance with the approved methodology of the relevant carbon project program
• ·         Be heavily involved in the writing of detailed PDDs
• ·         Managing the CDM/VDR project cycle
• ·         Provide reports setting out key programme management information for colleagues and the board.
• ·         Research and conduct feasability studies for potential projects
• ·         Preparing validation and verification of projects whilst working with project partners and third parties
• ·         Liaising with stakeholders and providing consultation services
• ·         Assisting in the organisation of meetings and conferences

Education:-

• ·         A degree in environmental management, sustainable development or similar

Core Requirements:-

• 1-3+ years experience working within the carbon market

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Experience in developing documentation for CDM projects.
• ·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
